About BronxCare Hospital Center Department of Dentistry

BronxCare Hospital Center Department of Dentistry is a dental clinic in Bronx, New York. It is listed at 1775 Grand Concourse #6, Bronx, NY 10453, which places it among the local businesses of Bronx that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 9 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach BronxCare Hospital Center Department of Dentistry at (718) 901-8400; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is bronxcare.org, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating stands at 2.0 out of 5 from 167 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.

Bronx is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Bronx follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I went here in severe, agonizing mouth pain today and was completely turned away just because I didn't have my physical UnitedHealthcare insurance card on me. That lady and a guy tryna act good looking instead of helping, didn't care about my pain or trying to help me look up my active plan. Completely heartless and unprofessional staff. Avoid this place if you are dealing with a real emergency.

I went in as emergency with a visual swollen face and reffed by BronxCare emergency room. Dr Lue was rude even letting him know calmly I have underline diagnoses. Anxiety disorder and PTSD from a surgery gone wrong. Told him I need to be knock out I cannot see a needle or equipment cause my heart will raise fast. They told me come back take your anxiety medication and come back and due nitro oxide. FULLY IGNORING my condition. I tried and gave them a chance cause my tooth is severe infected but as soon as they put that needle in my gum it was just a stabbing motion. Today I am waking up with my gums bruised and more swollen than yesterday. These doctors care more about what they get out of the procedures than what a PATIENT ACTUALLY NEEDS MEDICALLY!! I honestly wouldn’t recommend him at all. Super rude and dismissive. And notice in the papers they gave me when I left. They answer questions they never asked me. Why it said I walk in with no pain when I remember writting in the intake a lot of pain. So double check your papers

The wait time is the worst. It seems the over book every appointment hour. Makes no sense. If my appointment is at a certain time and I get here at least 30 minutes in advance I would think I could be seen in a timely manner.

Worst Possible Dentistry Possible. The wait time is always ridiculous. Your appointment can be at 1:15 and you will not been seen until after 3. For this to be for pediatrics they could be better with timing.

Highly suggest find alternatives to this place. 2.5 hours and counting since I was placed in the queue. You will wait at least 3- hours prior to being seen. Also, if you come in for an emergency after 8am you will not be seen. And the office coordinators are incredibly harsh and difficult to work with. For the elderly to come here, i genuinely am concerned about the safety of the patients here. Likewise, Nelissa at the front desk was extremely unprofessional as well as disrespectful. She and the others like her clearly need to be removed from this space. I do the same role as her elsewhere and would quite literally never speak to people the way she did. People like this do not belong in healthcare. Spoke with an administrative supervisor and I believe she will be little to no help with this but who knows. Best of luck to whomever reads this. Wishing you a speedy recovery and better service
